Georgia COE’s overall graduate program is perennially ranked among the top of the nation’s public universities in U.S. News & World Report’s annual rankings. Our graduate programs rank individually among the nation’s best in 8 of 10 categories— 6 programs are ranked in the Top 10 and two more among the Top 15—out of 278 institutions.
The 2011 U.S. News and World Report rankings of graduate programs placed the Secondary education programs at UGA, including English Education and World Language Education, fifth among America’s Best Graduate Schools. The Department also contributes to the college’s highly ranked programs in Elementary Education (3rd) and Curriculum and Instruction (8th). The Department has 15 full time faculty members who have been recognized nationally and internationally for their expertise. It attracts 40 undergraduates and 235 graduate students from Georgia and around the world.
